When there are choices and more options it allows for the change or different possibilities to emerge. How many times have you 'should' upon yourself only to find you feel stuck with nowhere to turn.
The list goes on... we "should" upon ourselves more than we realize. I know, I did this a lot until I discovered how to uncover barriers and shift new possibilities. Sounds simple, but sometimes things can look or feel complex and when we are at a loss of how to shift something valuable to us, they can become an inner conflict that prevents us from achieving what we know to be true of us. When we explore other possibilities, options, and alternatives, it really opens up the personal power we have to start the trajectory of a positive lasting shift. It's all influenced by new choices and possibilities. That is so powerful and all in YOUR control. A decline in our health and wellbeing could be a great example of how we really want change, but don't always know the choices that are available to support the shift we are seeking. This is so frustrating and contributes more to the problem. I'm here to say there are ways to harvest something different. It is work, and you are worth it! Everything we do becomes a habit. The way we do something over time becomes a habit. That also includes what time we do it and how often we do it. Imagine if you had to relearn how to operate your car every time you got in it to drive somewhere. So every time you would have to get in the driver's seat, adjust the mirrors/seat/steering wheel. Then start the car... and before you can drive off you have to learn that you apply the brake peddle to put it into the drive gear… That would be exhausting! Fortunately, the human mind operates from memory. We learn when and how to do everything in our daily life. Like when and how to brush our teeth, take a shower, get dressed, the time we eat breakfast etc… Where this becomes challenging is when you want to change a habit. Here is an example, think about how you eat, what time you eat, who you are being when you eat, when you eat, where you eat, and the volume you chose to eat. Or perhaps how you do your daily activity or fitness plan is the goal, but if we have never built this habit before, we become frustrated. A simple desire to achieve a goal is not enough for our brain to take action with longevity. Think of January when many makes a decision to add fitness in their life only to find a few weeks later the motivation has gone. Well, it’s not a lack of motivation that stops us. It's our brain that hasn't updated the new habit change and we lose sight of our original goal. This is where a Wellness Coach is imperative to catapult you into achieving your desired wellness goals. Having the right system, support, and accountability is key to finally achieving that goal you know to be true of you!
